Qualcomm Foundation Supports Next Door’s Children and Youth Programs

Qualcomm Foundation has donated $10,000 to Next Door’s domestic violence prevention and intervention efforts for children and youth. Next Door’s Children & Youth Program serves more than 250 DV-impacted children and youth per year. The Children and Youth Program activities include Kid’s Club, which provides age-appropriate recreational and developmental activities to help children who have been impacted by domestic violence build empathy, emotional resiliency, and problem solving and conflict resolution skills, and Academic Support for children who reside at Next Door’s HomeSafe sites in San Jose and Santa Clara. Qualcomm is also supporting Next Door’s Teen Dating Violence Prevention Program, POWER (Proud of Wanting Equal Relationships), which seeks to stop the violence before it starts by changing teen perception of dating violence from acceptable and inevitable to unacceptable, preventable and avoidable. Qualcomm Foundation invests its human and financial resources in inspirational, innovative programs that serve diverse populations, aiming to create educated, healthy, sustainable, and culturally vibrant communities.
