About Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence
Next Door's mission is to End Domestic Violence in the Moment and for All Time. For more than 30 years, Next Door has provided prevention and intervention services to women, men, children and teens in Santa Clara County
Domestic violence crosses all socio-economic, ethnic and religious boundaries and affects every part of the lives damaged by it. Next Door is an organization that believes in peace and social justice for all and operates every day knowing that peace in the community begins with peace in homes. Although the problem is complex, Next Door believes the solutions must be community based, encompassing and engaging a diverse group including volunteers, donors, advocates and clients in order to begin real solutions that eradicate domestic violence for good.
Next Door has grown into Santa Clara County's most comprehensive domestic violence service agency. In 2003, in an effort to provide increased and efficient services, Next Door merged with Women and Their Children's Housing (WATCH). Now, the agency serves over 11,800 people annually at seven locations with a wide array of services to match each victim's unique need.
