The David & Lucile Packard Foundation Awards $60,000 in General Operating Funds

This generous two-year grant from the David & Lucile Packard Foundation will help ensure that Next Door can continue to provide high quality programming to survivors of domestic violence and their children. This is the 7th year that the Foundation has provided general operating funds. These funds are vital to the survival of Next Door, as unrestricted money allows the agency maximum flexibility in meeting its obligations. Next Door is deeply grateful to the David & Lucile Packard Foundation for its continued essential support of our programming and operations.

Latham & Watkins Provide Legal Services to DV Victims

A valued financial and in-kind supporter of Next Door for several years, Latham & Watkins, LLP continues to provide countless hours of pro bono assistance to Next Door clients. Latham & Watkin’s $5,000 grant this year will help ensure that our clients can access necessary legal services including restraining orders, court accompaniment, and language translation. Thank you very much Latham & Watkins for all the many ways you help Next Door and its clients.

TJX Foundation Keeps Families Safe

For the eighth year in a row, the TJX Foundation’s gracious gifts have helped families recovering from domestic violence find hope and build new lives through Next Door’s HomeSafes and Self-Sufficiency programs. Families can stay at the HomeSafes while receiving supportive services such as counseling, case management and children’s services. The Self-Sufficiency program provides basic skills needed to find jobs and manage money. Next Door thanks the TJX Foundation for its $5,000 grant and its ongoing program support.

Western Digital Supports Children & Youth

Next Door is very fortunate that its Legacy Partner Western Digital has provided generous funding for more than five years. Western Digital’s most recent grant of $10,000 provides support for Next Door’s Children & Youth programming which includes the Windows Between Worlds arts expression curriculum, literary activities and homework help for the kids at the HomeSafe, and family field trips. Children can also enjoy special holiday and birthday celebrations because of the Western Digital’s grants. Next Door joins its families in extending a hearty thank you to Western Digital.

Women Become Self-Sufficient Through Allstate Grant

Thanks to a $10,000 grant from the Allstate Foundation’s Domestic Violence program, Next Door’s Self-Sufficiency program continues to help victims of DV empower themselves. The Self-Sufficiency program enables women to become resilient, providing guidance and direction in job readiness, building a financial foundation, budgeting, personal organization, and life enrichment. This is all made possible through the generosity of Next Door’s partners. Thank you Allstate – with your support, Next Door’s clients will be able to sustain their safety for years to come.
